I want more of these scenes. Jin Se Yeon will be playing Song Jae Hee, the first love of Park Hoon whom he met in North Korea, and also play the role of Han Seung Hee, an anesthesiologist that possesses the same face as Song Jae Hee, but holds a mysterious identity. It'd have been nice if we had more of that, because the memories PH has of JH, from what we see, it's so limited. I think the video was brought by the smuggler to prove to Hoon that Jae Hee is alive. We reached episode 7 now, it is about time for the main actress to show some acting. window.fbAsyncInit = function() { Doctor Stranger broke my heart because it had a really cool premise and I thought the first episode was great. Director Jin Hyuk previously directed Brilliant Legacy (2009), City Hunter (2011), Master's Sun (2013). 6. Sometimes, an inspiration is better left to be admired from a distance rather than to be possessed for yourself, doing so, only make it lose its meaning and significance. Three, how did that North Korea military captain whatever guy survive? Can't she be killed already? Laughing awkwardly, Soo-hyun denies the claim, and explains that Hoon acted so strangely around Seung-hee because the dead woman he truly loves does look uncannily like her. I would definitely hate to see the OTPs romance being foiled by some arbitrary mission that may or may not be just another form of noble idiocy. Pleaseee i want to know. Haven't watched this too many episodes .. it's on my watchlist, for exclusive curated content & access to the resource library, Pretty Little ScribblesStuck in FictionThe Perks of Being NouraLeostheticsAlly Writes Things. 5. After Prime Minister Jang has a good laugh at the presidents penchant for punctuality (this guy needs to get out more), he asks Nightshade about Seung-heehe wants to see her skills firsthand. var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; She was also really entertaining to watch while simultaneously being someone I related to. Lets hope I didnt forget everything about this show because I watched it months back lol. 4 . A lot of her facial expressions are inscrutable; I don't think it's because of the actress or anything, but she's probably given the same amount of information we are so she's not really able to express a hell of a lot, just in case the writer goes a different way~! Jae-joon claims he was just protecting Soo-hyuns doctorly honor against Hoons quack allegations, an excuse which has Soo-hyun raising her eyebrows: Thats not like you.. Poor Hoon is so bewildered that his Jae-hee doesnt recognize him, and Seung-hee ends up giving both halves of the bracelet to Soo-hyun before she heads into the hospital for work. XD She wanted to live as her real person after the plot is d. Thanks for the recap, I was watching this drama and had high hopes for it, but I can't watch it anymore. Other plot holes: how'd Hoon get from Budapest post-shooting, to SK anyway? Jae-hee is Park Hoon's soul mate who was separated from him while they were escaping from North Korea; Seung-hee is a North Korean woman and is a specialist in oriental medicine anesthesia. The first few episodes were good but the rest left such a bad taste in my mouth. (Ofc, Tae-oh is more of an exception since he plays as the primary villain as opposed to TOP's or SJR's side-character parts, therefore we get to see him grow and display more emotions too, which Seung Hee should be given the chance as well). Two, how did Jae-hee survive the fall the first time in Budapest? Master's Sun. Then he looks over Jae-joons shoulder: What do you think, Quack?. LJS might has a contract that he only plays roles with super abilities! Soo-hyun is just so much more likeable than Seung-hee/Jae-hee. YASSSSS! the subs in the video i watched seemed to not have that line. How much time has she given herself for self reflection? Shes Jae-hee.. yes, that trope has been overused but i REFUSE to believe that Seung-hee is someone else who looks exactly like her (or fixed her face to look like JH) or is committed to being a NK spy knowing everything that had happened to Hoon. I found one recurring thing unbelievable. and yeah, all these people after hoon like wtfcalm the eff down. I just donotlike the way Seung-Hees character was written and directed. 2014-05-12 . Of course don't get me wrong, shipping is totally fine, and I ship many drama couples too. Loved the Soo-hyun and Hoon scenes in this, this is the first time I'm shipping the male lead with the 2nd female lead. In terms of the two (2) kidneys, I believe they were referring to kidney transplant patient. I dont know much about the heart from a medical point of view but I dont think that you can find outexactlywhat is wrong just by placing your hand over the patients chest, no matter how skilled you are. Its obviously not bad acting because the same actress played Jae-Hee, whom I liked in one minute. They knew each other since young. And I know yours, Jae-Hee. This is a very complex character to play and casting JSY in it is not a good choice. She founded Empress Content Writing & Digital Marketing Services to help small entrepreneurs grow their business. I mean, his girlfriend's mother just died and he's going to walk away from her just because some other guy was closer by virtue of actually having been involved? And as for that, why did he have to hug her when he could have just used a stethoscope? Director Choi is confused by her condition, since he remembered her health to be fine when she came into the country. Doctor Stranger is currently the only drama outta the current bunch thats got me hooked. Not so sure about that - for one thing, where did the video come from? I couldnt decide if I wanted to give this -1 or -2 so I just went with -1.5. On the one hand, Im glad the show is presenting its mystery through Hoons point of view, since we literally only know as much as he does at any given moment. It's acceptable if she's only playing a straight-up villain part, but she's not, the viewers need to be able to sympathize with her and we're unable to do so. fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); Somehow. I agree. But the plot is so frustrating I'm irritated. What we get now is that PH is deeply in love with JH, and while that's not enough for me to want to care about their relationship, I'll just have to believe in it because that's what the show is centered about anyway. Whos that? Seung-hee replies, causing Hoon to pull out the red bracelet he took from Patient Kim. I was really starting to worry watching Hoon spend most of the episode in a permanent state of reaction, which is understandable for someone like him but still not that fun to sit through. I don't really know what they were planning to do with this, was it to make us confuse or if they were trying to drop hints about who SH really is. here, she's playing someone interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing her (haven't watched yet). if (d.getElementById(id)) return; He's not the only one with crazy schedule either. Lee Ki-chan Meet You Now () from the OST. I also like the fact that both Hoon and Seung Hee (if JH is indeed SH that is) are not pure hero or heroines, that they do have shadows beneath their seemingly brighter facades. Anyway, that whole Seung Hee/Jae Hee story line is boring to me because I don't like Jin Se Yeon much as an actress. Years later, Hoon, a budding genius surgeon, and his girlfriend Song Jae-h=Hee try to escape to South Korea. this probably sounds terrible, but i think SH/JH got into AMNESIAafter that dreaded fall on the bridge and FORGOT about her past with Hoon. well, no i dont need that. Copyright 2022 VTM StudiosVTM or Vlaamse Televisie Maatschappij is the main commercial television station in Flanders and forms part of a network of channe. Ok, not to dispute the medical accuracy of the Show (sarcastically stated, of course), but 2 hearts that are going at the same rate, barring any murmur, arrhythmia or extra S3 or S4 sounds, will ALWAYS sound the same, "I hope thats metaphorical, because if he can recognize her by her heartbeat, I might have to laugh out loud. I cannot emphatize with her characters. I hope shell take more acting lessons after this series. Speaking of, Hoon wakes up to find framed pictures of Seung-hee hanging on the walls, and immediately thinks of Jae-hee. My suggestion? It feels like a missing building block right now. The two characters Jin Se Yeon plays have direct opposite atmospheres about them in the revealed pictures. She was clumsy in feelings and had funny expressions, and she was a determined doctor. She could quite easily defect and bring the whole weird nest of plotters down, so what is holding her back? i mean i get the amount of politics is very heavy in this drama which i also understand since it can be annoying. Thinking back she was right and I'm glad she didn't watch any more of the drama lolol. I dropped it as soon as I reached the part where Park Hoon meets his old flame at the hospital like.. why? Kailangan tumulong si Hoon dahil sa kakulangan sa doktor. How on earth did he know to find Hoon here?! I did not feel anything between the two leads either, I honestly thought they'd not end up together while thinking Kang Sora was female lead. It's not like the rest of the main cast have been stellar. 59min. Security is so lax that Agent Cha gets to just stand by in clear view and watch as Seung-hee accompanies Chang-yis suddenly-unconscious mother to the operating room. Chang-yi all but pouts when she hears this, wishing more than anything that Hoon would just forget about Jae-hee. Seung-hee looks to Soo-hyun for help as she pulls her wrist out of Hoons grasp, and at least Soo-hyun tries to diffuse the situation by asking Seung-hee whether she knows anyone named Song Jae-hee. I've seen her do well in vibrant roles before, but being cold and monotonous only serves to compound on her weakness. Its fate, Hoon thinks to himself. How did the writers or anyone else in the making of the show not notice?? All the things around Jae-hee are just impossibility. Because Myungwoo Hospitals just a thoroughfare for anyone wearing a white lab coat, Agent Cha sneaks in to deal with the loose end that is Chang-yis motheronly hes just there to start things, since Prime Minister Jang wants to see Seung-hees doctoring skills. There's truly no accounting for taste. I watch Kdrama for almost a deccade since I was in elementary, and I believe that this drama is lacking in writing but full on swing when it comes ti acting. Hopefully I didn't jinx you. While a lot of us can spot the obvious stuff, that is something I doubt any of us knew. Nor is she a particularly strong or experienced actress. Is it just me, or is the plot of this drama basically a giant plot hole? Meanwhile, a stone-faced Seung-hee tells Agent Cha that the whole act was devised so that Hoon would believe that Jae-hee is alive. Soo-hyun is left with a devastated Hoon after Seung-hee leaves, and she gently coaxes him away as she promises to help him arrange another meeting with his maybe-love. How do I know this? Even I, a mere office worker go on auto pilot when I have worked for too long without a break and my job isn't as emotionally draining as theirs. I dont know. Also, surgery masks are VERY good for showing off eye makeup! Also, if weird things occur such as you, rooting for the 2nd female lead for the first time in your over a decade of voraciously consuming gazillion of drama series, you just couldnt stop because it is such a bloody mystery that needs to be solved. But Hoon isnt interested in getting his job back and only wants to see Seung-hee, who started working at the main hospital as of today. I have mixed feelings about it because of those random pointless things.
