ACA News: The Supreme Court agreed on Monday to decide the fate of President Barack Obama’s healthcare law, with an election-year ruling due by July on the healthcare system’s biggest overhaul in nearly 50 years. The decision had been widely expected since late September, when the Obama administration asked the country’s highest court to uphold the centerpiece insurance provision and 26 states separately asked that the entire law be struck down. Now in her 30s, the daughter of the former president and the current secretary of State will work on stories for the “Making a Difference” series, which appears on the top-rated “Nightly News.” The series focuses on people who are helping others through volunteer action. Two new public opinion polls out today show Gingrich gaining ground in the GOP nomination fight, and is the latest candidate to position himself as an alternative to Mitt Romney. A new CNN/ORC International Poll out today shows Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, leading among Republican voters with 24% with Gingrich right behind at 22%. Gingrich, former speaker of the House, is up 14 percentage points since October in that poll. Read more here.
