“Librul Media” My Ass… News: President Obama “has suffered the most unrelentingly negative treatment” of all presidential candidates over the past five months, according to a study released Monday from the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism. Pew found that Mr. Obama was the subject of negative assessments nearly four times as often as he was the subject of positive assessments. It found he received “positive” coverage nine percent of the time, “neutral” coverage 57 percent of the time and “negative” coverage 34 percent of the time. Read more here.

News: President Barack Obama’s fellow Democrats in the Senate plan to bring up for consideration this week a portion of Obama’s stalled $447 billion jobs bill, a senior party aide said on Monday. In conjunction with the White House, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is crafting an initial stand-alone piece of the bill that would provide $35 billion to help states hire and prevent layoffs of teachers, firefighters and police officers, the aide said. Stop Sweating Me Already…Damn!” News: Hillary Rodham Clinton, the woman seemingly born to become the first female president of the United States, on Monday again ruled out a race for the top office in 2016 and insisted she is ready to return to private life. In an interview with NBC’s “Today” show, Clinton squelched the latest boomlet for her presidential ambitions, emphatically answering “No, no,” when interviewer Savannah Guthrie asked her whether she would ever run again for president. What In The Law & Order: SVU Hell Is This?? News: A woman accused of keeping four handicapped adults chained in a basement in Philadelphia had been previously convicted of starving a man to death in a closet, according to a published report. Linda Ann Weston, 51, was charged in 1981 with beating the man with a hammer, tying him up in a closet with only three meals over the course of two months, and beating him with broomsticks, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. When he died, they stuffed his body into a plastic bag and dumped it in an abandoned house, according to the newspaper. Weston served eight years in prison in the 1980s. Read more here.
Meanwhile…In Yemen News: Deadly clashes killed eight people in the Yemeni capital as tension spiked following a new wave of killings of anti-regime protesters by troops loyal to veteran President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Eight people were killed and 27 wounded in the overnight street battles, which saw tribes and troops opposing Saleh ranged against loyalists, medics and a tribal source said on Monday. France condemned the use of force against protesters and urged respect for human rights. Read more here.
The “Don’t Tax Me Bro” Rethugs Can’t Be Serious With This Clown News: Herman Cain’s tax proposals have rocketed him to the top of the pack in the fight for the Republican presidential nomination. But while his now-famous 9-9-9 tax plan would scrap the current tax structure in favor of a more simplified system, $90 billion in various federal taxes and fees would still be left intact. That includes excise taxes on things like gas and alcohol, tobacco and firearms, airline tickets and phone service. The revenues these taxes generate are no small sum — equal to nearly half the money now collected in corporate income taxes. Read more here.

News: After participating in the formal dedication of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial alongside legendary civil rights leaders, entertainers and policy makers, professor and social activist Cornel West decided to honor King’s legacy in his own way: joining the Occupy D.C. protests Sunday where he was arrested on the steps of the Supreme Court. During the protests, West addressed fellow demonstrators over a megaphone and ensured them that King would approve of the demonstrations were he alive today. Read more here.
