For the week Feb 19 – Feb 26
The 2012 political campaign season is in full swing and has provided much fodder for the Obot family. From the GOP comic candidates to the usual Emoprog whining and Sole Patrol bitchassness – much much material for us to work with!
It’s Becoming Harder and Harder To Take Much of the Media Seriously At All These Days Comment of the Week
Really Andrea? You didn’t notice? You are giving an interview and you admit to not paying attention as your guest spouts off lies? Oh Really?
How far gone is the current media environment that some troll can sit on a national media program and wax poetic about President Obama’s “radical islamic agenda” and the TV host didn’t even bat an eye until well after the fact, and then went as far as to declare that she “believes” that the troll “misspoke”? WTF is wrong with all of these people, seriously? I feel like we’re being desensitized to some utter madness.
It’s illustrative of the weakness of Romney’s candidacy that someone as fringe as Santorum is taken seriously, or is even relevant enough to draw in opposition attacks.
This negro here…so at a time when voting rights are under attack, the Supreme Court is poised to roll back Affirmative Action and GOP state legislatures are acting a fool everywhere Boyce takes out time to wag his finger at the Obamas…again. Man go sit your silly ass down somewhere…really.
Men our community needs work and I hope Obama is at least adding to the blocks for our kids. The boyce article and some of the commentary is sad, it indicates how folks live their lives to appease to the white gaze. Folks ain’t free in the mind nor do they believe they are equal. Some folks still carrying that inferiority complex around and that’s a damn shame. They don’t get why Obama is disliked just yet.. they don’t see that he lives his way. He demolishes all the stereotypes whiteness needs to be superior and at the same time elevates the stereotypes whiteness has deemed bad for black folks. They don’t see the dichotomy.
You can be the brightest person and sing and dance.
You can be a college grad and still fist bump a janitor
You can be richest and be humble
You can speak your language and understand someone else.
You can know who Mick Jagger is and still relate to Jay-z etcIn short, there is no limit to what is defined by blackness, we can be anything and all things. We can do well when we stop being obsessed with the white gaze and focus on improving our communities. We can do better when we lift instead of tear down which seems to be the only thing alot of these prominent black male intellectuals are good at.
Boyce ain’t no free man. Like, West they have lived their lives according to gaze. They need to take a page from the Obamas and borrow a mirror. Insecurity is nasty so is envy.
Its killing the GOP and is spreading to males of all spectrum.
Unlike Boyce Watkins, Barack Obama is a free black man. He does not have an inferiority complex. So if he’s at a performance for the White House, and the legendary Bebe King wants to hear his beautiful voice, and the legendary Mick Jagger hands him the mic, he’s secure enough in his blackness to know that’s not cooning. He’s just being his usual swaggalicious self. But Boyce lives and dies by what “THE WHITE MAN” thinks about him and has got about as much swag as a bowl of oatmeal, so no wonder he’s mad. This is why Barack Obama is POTUS and Boyce Watkins is best known for getting into bitch fights with Bill Oreilly.
That’s right, SweaterMan!I want to boost college attendance to eliminate Republican indoctrination (AKA: stupidity).
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!…uh, here, boy, fetch the pretty earmark…that’s it…
He did not accidently say shit. That word comes out of his mouth so frequently that his stupid ass forgot where he was. The article states that his fb is only open to adults and family friends. Apparently his family and friends are racist as well as he felt comfortable saying that word. Ha good for the parent that caught him. Then he has the nerve to say I do not need all this drama, I am not a racist, my kids are going to be taunted. Too bad so sad, when will these idiots realize that the inter nets are public. Hmm just like that racist Asian girl that called for the genocide of black people and those two stupid girls on YouTube. Folks are not playing around. Moral of the story you can believe want you want but once you make your thoughts pubic be prepared for the backlash.
“neither judicial nor executive branch nominations were ever a priority for his administration”And how in the hell does Jamelle know this? What a fuckin stupid azzed article. The real ‘disaster’ here is an intellectual class of folks not versed in basic 9th grade civics. Appeals court nominations for Dems have been a problem since Reagan stacked them all.
The economy was on the precipice of worldwide collapse. PBO stopped the bleeding and changed course. Court vacancies have existed long before PBO came on the scene, other judges and legal scholars have done articles about this. More PL whining from the American Prospect.
