Dolvett Quince is known for his stint on the Biggest Loser Reality Show. He grew up in Stanford, Connecticut. He and his three siblings were eventually adopted by a Jamaican couple, whose only source of discipline was through physical force. He has an adult-aged son.
Early in his career as a personal trainer, when Dolvett Quince was working at an Atlanta YMCA, one of his first clients was a woman who was getting married and longed to lose weight. After training with Quince for 93 days she lost 37 pounds. “Her arms became defined and she felt so good,” recalls Quince. “She also just passed the Bar exam.”
She brought Quince a card. As she read aloud to him her eyes filled with tears. “She said, ‘it’s because of you that I’m going to look and feel the way I’ve always dreamt on my wedding day. It’s because of you that I’m in the best shape of my life. More than 12 years later as he stars in NBC’s The Biggest Loser and also trains celebrities including Angela Bassett, Nicole Ari Parker, Baltimore Ravens tight end Daniel Wilcox and JoJo, he continues to help people discover and nurture a belief in there themselves. Quince, who has dealt with his own struggles growing up with abusive adoptive parents understands those challenges firsthand. He is a certified Master Fitness Trainer.
Quince is very active in his community. He’s involved with Bert’s Big Adventure and also with charities and organizations that focus on Breast Cancer and Cystic Fibrosis.He is also an active supporter of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the American Heart Association, and Got Your 6, which helps veterans transition into civilian life.
