Good Morning POU!
We’ll end this edition of Nasty Women Week with 3 nasty rappers!
Khia
Khia was born Khia Shamone Chambers on November 8, 1977 in Philadelphia and was raised in its Germantown neighborhood, and she moved to Tampa, Florida when she was 11.
Khia released her debut album, Thug Misses in 2002 on Dirty Down/Artemis Records as a re-release from the original version by Divine Records. The lead single “My Neck, My Back (Lick It)” became a breakthrough single, charting at #42 on the Hot 100 chart and #12 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. MTV News reported that she wrote “My Neck, My Back” in 15 minutes.
Jacki-O
Angela Kohn (born November 24, 1975), better known as Jacki-O, is an American rapper who is signed to her own label Jack Movement Entertainment. She got her first break in 2003 with the bawdy sex rap “Nookie”.
Although it was the first time that many had heard of Jacki-O, she kept a high profile, prior to her radio and club successes, with several appearances on Miami-area mixtapes. The success of “Nookie” led Jacki-O to discuss a similar subject matter on her second single, “Sugar Walls,” released in 2004 in anticipation of her debut album, Poe Little Rich Girl. Jackie-O has also worked with WWE & Jim Johnston in producing vocals for some of their theme songs, including Michelle McCool, Candice Michelle & Stephanie McMahon.
