Daniel Caesar (born April 5, 1995) is a Canadian R&B and soul singer-songwriter. After independently building an online following through EPs, Caesar released his debut album Freudian in August 2017.
His breakout single “Get You” amassed over 10 million streams on Apple Music since its October 2016 release; According to his management, the singer’s catalog has garnered over 20 million global streams on Apple Music and 12 million streams on Spotify, with a listener-ship of over 740,000 per month.
On August 25, 2017, Caesar released his debut album Freudian, which included singles “Get You”, “We Find Love” and “Blessed”. The following day, Caesar announced the Freudian tour, a North American tour used to promote the album.
Khalid Amhearst Robinson (born February 11, 1998), known mononymously as Khalid, pronounced ‘KA-LEED’, is an American singer and songwriter. He is signed to Right Hand Music Group and RCA Records. He is best known for his debut single, “Location“, which peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was certified platinum.
Khalid Robinson was born on February 11, 1998, in Fort Stewart, Georgia. He spent his childhood in various locations because of his mother Linda Wolfe’s career in the military, but often would visit Axtell, New Jersey for the summers. In Axtell, he met his childhood friend the legendary “Riff Da Great” who influenced the young Khalid to stay off the streets and in the studio. Khalid’s mother Wolfe worked as a supply technician for over 10 years and eventually earned a prestigious opportunity to sing in the US Army Band. In high school he studied singing and musical theater. During his senior year of high school, the family moved to El Paso, Texas, and Khalid graduated from Americas High School in 2016.
He reached No. 2 on the Billboard Twitter Emerging Artists chart in July 2016, his single “Location” began charting, while Khalid began appearing on many publications’ “Artists you need to know” lists, including Billboard, Yahoo, Buzzfeed, and Rolling Stone. With production from Syk Sense, Tunji Ige, and Smash David, “Location” finished the year 2016 at No. 20 on the Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart on January 21, 2017. After premiering on The Fader, the video netted over six million views in its first four months on YouTube, while the song was streamed 35 million times on Spotify. “Location” has since received over 17 million plays on Soundcloud since it’s initial release.
Isobel Beardshaw (born 28 April 1994), better known as Izzy Bizu, is an English singer-songwriter signed to Epic Records. Bizu is from southwest London. Her mother is Ethiopian and her father is English. She grew up listening to Ella Fitzgerald, Bettye Swann and James Brown, and draws on these influences alongside newer influences such as Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse and Adele to create a fusion of soul, funk, jazz, and pop.
In November 2015, Bizu was shortlisted for a Brit Critics’ Choice award and longlisted for BBC‘s Sound of… 2016. She won the BBC Music Introducing Award at the 2016 ceremony. On 25 June 2016, Bizu performed on the Park Stage at the Glastonbury Festival.
